General Rules

1.

The management of the competition shall be vested in the Management Committee of the
|
|||||||||
Wirral Mini-Soccer League,the rules of which shall apply generally and who will determine
|
||||||||||
dates for competition each year.
|
||||||||||
2.
|
To be elegible for the above named league a player must be a bona-fide player having being
|
|||||||||
registered with the Wirral Mini-Soccer League 7 days in advance of the competition date.
|
||||||||||
3.
|
Teams can register a maximum of 14 players per team.
|
|||||||||
4.
|
Arrangements for time and venue are the responsibility of the home team and must contact
|
|||||||||
the opposing team no later than Tuesday evening before the weekend date.A degree of
|
||||||||||
flexibility is expected by the home team when arranging time with the away team manager.
|
||||||||||
It is essential that both managers mutually agree fixture time.The Management Committee
|
||||||||||
will make any decision on who is responsible for a postponed game.
|
||||||||||
5.
|
A team failing to fulfil their league commitments shall be fined £5.00 in the first instance
|
|||||||||
and £10.00 in the second instance.Failure to raise a team will not be considered as a
|
||||||||||
reasonable explanation or excuse.
|
||||||||||
6.
|
Persistent postponement of games will result in expulsion of the team from competing
|
|||||||||
in the league and may jeopardise their Club's future entry into the league.
|
||||||||||
7.
|
The Home team are expected to provide a referee ( mutually agreed by both teams ) for
|
|||||||||
the game;this may be a qualified referee,manager or parent.
|
||||||||||
8.
|
The referee has an important role to play in Mini-Soccer.Carrying out their duties without
|
|||||||||
favour they should look to create a playing environment,which is fun for all taking part.The
|
||||||||||
Referee should encourage fair play,fun,respect for others,development of skills and
|
||||||||||
teamwork and understanding of the lawes of the game.
|
||||||||||
The Laws of the game should be a guide for the referee in Mini-Soccer with the spirit of
|
||||||||||
the laws being more important than the letters of the law. Appreciation off the needs
|
||||||||||
of the child are essential.
|
||||||||||
9.
|
Match duration shall be :
|
|||||||||
4 no 8 minute segments with a 3 minute interval for U7's
|
||||||||||
4 no 10 minute segments with a 3 minute interval for U8's
|
||||||||||
2 no 20 minute halves with a 5 minute interval for U9's & U10's
|
||||||||||
10.
|
Results must be reported either :-
|
|||||||||
•
|
by telephone to the league secretary between the hours of 6pm and 9pm on the Sunday
|
|||||||||
of that weekends fixture.
|
||||||||||

|
by email to the league secretary within 24hours of the fixture.
|
|||||||||
Failure to report results will result in a fine of £5.00
|
||||||||||
11.
|
All results should be recorded on a scorecard for both home and away teams and sent to the league
|
|||||||||
secretary no later than 5 days after the game.Late return of scorecards will result in a fine of £5.00
